"Having owned two Catteries myself over a 10 year period I was quite excited to hear of a Brand New Cattery opening in the Westown area of New Plymouth. I rang Andrea and she was more than happy for me to have a look around the Cattery before it was officially opened.
WOW, what an amazing feline holiday home Belt Road Cattery is. It can cater the most pampered cats and provides a relaxing home away from home, with everything your precious friend could wish for.
Andrea is an amazing lady and just speaking to her I could tell that my cat Felix would be happy and well cared for during his stay and I wasn’t disappointed. My parent’s cat, Gypsy, has also had a couple of holiday’s with Andrea, and being 20 years old, having special dietary requirements and needing that extra care that an ‘older lady’ does, she came home having put on weight and looking fantastic.

I had been looking for a cattery when I saw Belt Road Cattery on Facebook, and thought I would ring and enquire. Andrea had all the answers and was so pleasant to deal with. I booked in Nala the same day and I’m so happy I made that choice. Andrea was so easy to deal with regarding bringing in Nala’s special diet, and made me feel so at ease knowing she was in a safe environment. Nala can be quite the drama queen and our first visit would have been the first time she had been left anywhere, and Andrea made us feel at home before we left, showing us all the rooms and telling us all about the different cats she had staying with her at the time. Andrea knows all the cats so well and when we got in the car to leave we knew Nala was in a loving environment. It’s so clean and really homely with lots of fun toys and outside areas. We often refer to it as Nala’s Cat Hotel! We would never take Nala anywhere else now!
Hands down the best cattery in New Plymouth. It is clean, spacious and light. The cats staying look happy & settled.
Our boy Dezzy has always had the very best treatment. He usually comes home exhausted but his coat is always beautiful and shiny.
Andrea is lovely - she is welcoming and genuinely cares for every animal in her care.
Thank you for taking care of Clover & Honey for us again. Knowing that my fur babies are going to be given so much love and attention while I'm away means I don't have to worry at all about them and it's like a 5* holiday resort for them. As Clover is getting on in years I know that she is in great hands with you and having the family condos for them is amazing.

Thank you so much for taking such excellent care of Boyo. Not only did he come back to me happy, healthy and relaxed - he had clearly had a wonderful time at your beautiful new place, and had a great deal of fun playing with the other cats. I've kept him on the Hills Science kitten food, and it is working so well for him (no grumbling stomach or unhappiness). I also want to thank you for having other things - advice on food, a carry cage, a little toy. All of that adds up to a very happy cat and owner.

Just to let you know that I’m not surprised your cattery has been so successful since opening because you are so dedicated to the highest standards of cat care, with attention to every last detail ensuring a stress free stay for all the cats.
Despite my cat being very elderly and unwell with numerous health issues requiring extra time and specialized care, medications, etc. you didn’t hesitate to accept him, and gave him every bit of love and commitment that he needed.
